Our Founders.

Founded by young visionaries, Ayush Chopra and Ananya Chopra in 2014, SDGs For Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a platform for children globally to CONNECT, CREATE, and COLLABORATE towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Officially incorporated in Canada in 2019, the initiative focuses on empowering youth to contribute to social transformation and sustainable development.

Ayush Chopra: Founder and Visionary Leader

Ayush Chopra, a committed youth advocate, founded SDGs for Children in 2014 at 14. Motivated to address global inequalities and promote the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Ayush's journey began in India and later flourished in Canada. He envisioned a global platform to connect, create, and collaborate for sustainable development.

Ayush's leadership has been instrumental in organizing impactful events like the World Children's Conference 2020, which brought together young leaders from over 30 countries. His efforts have been recognized globally, including the prestigious Diana Award in 2019 for his significant social contributions. This award honours young leaders who demonstrate exceptional commitment to humanitarian causes.

In addition to his activism, Ayush is an accomplished author. His book, "Shaping A Fairer World with SDGs and Human Rights," explores the intersection of sustainable development and human rights, aiming to inspire and educate young readers. Ayush also hosts a podcast under the same name, providing a platform for discussing these critical issues.

Ananya Chopra: Co-Founder and Young Activist

Ananya Chopra, Ayush's younger sister, is the Co-Founder of SDGs for Children. Ananya's contributions to environmental advocacy and children's rights are remarkable. She has authored two influential books: "Save Our Planet," which focuses on environmental conservation, and "Know Your Rights Or Have No Rights," which educates children about their rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This book creatively illustrates each right, making it accessible and engaging for young readers.

Ananya's role extends to organizing and participating in educational events. During the World Children Conference 2020, she engaged her peers with a quiz on the SDGs, demonstrating her ability to make learning about sustainability interactive and fun. Ananya also serves as a Student Ambassador for the Goals Project, a global initiative to educate and mobilise students to take action on the SDGs.
